Wichita, KS (3.22.2022) – The REALTORS® of South Central Kansas (RSCK) and Kansas RRC (Residential Real Estate Council) collaborate to host the fifth annual Numana food packaging event on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Extension Office.

Based in El Dorado, KS, Numana, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) (3) public charity formed in August 2008, as an international hunger relief organization. At food packaging events volunteers will measure the ingredients, scoop them into meal bags, weigh and seal the bags, and box the finished product. The boxes will then be loaded into trucks to prepare for international shipping. The purchase of these meals is made possible by fundraising efforts totaling $20,000 in donations provided by 23 local real estate affiliated companies.

"A Numana food packaging event empowers people to serve the hungry in many parts of the world. This year our event will bring together over 200 REALTORS®, affiliates, and their families, volunteering to package over 70,000 meals that will be shipped to Haiti. It's a hands-on opportunity to come together with your colleagues to truly make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate," said Sandy McRae, RRC 2022 Chair of the Planning Committee, RRC Board of Directors, and past RSCK President.

This year’s event has reached its full capacity in volunteers. We look forward to the opportunity to invite even more participants to be involved in next year’s annual volunteer event.
