RSCK Committees

Member involvement is essential to the mission of RSCK. Our members bring a wealth of talent and experience to the day-to-day operation of RSCK by serving on our committees. When it comes to making decisions, our committees are the first to discuss ideas and vote upon them before they are approved by the Board of Directors. Committee membership is open only to RSCK members.

 About RSCK Committees

Why Serve on a Committee?

Committees help shape the direction of our Association and its policies. If you want your voice to be heard and want to contribute to the decision-making process, our committees are a great forum for debate and discussion. Experience in committees is beneficial for those interested in seeking future leadership roles.

What are the Benefits of Volunteering?

Association involvement establishes that you care about your profession and your community. Serving on a committee is a great way to enhance your professional growth and provide service to your peers. Research shows that members who are involved in association committees are: better informed, better networked, and better prepared to act on trends and regulations impacting their business.

 When do they meet?

Committee meetings take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and are generally held at RSCK.  Chairpersons are asked to coordinate meeting dates and times with RSCK Staff.

Attendance Policy

The Committee Chair shall designate a regular time and place of meetings. Absence from more than three regularly scheduled meetings within a committee year (January 1 through December 31) will result in removal from the committee.

What is the Volunteer Process?

Volunteer applications are open for submission in July & August each year for the upcoming year.  RSCK will make every attempt to meet your requests. You will receive an email from the staff liaisons of the committees you are appointed to in December. If you are interested in serving on a committee outside of this time frame, do not hesitate to contact RSCK and we will see if it is feasible to add you.

Committee appointments begin January 1st and end December 31st (unless more than a 1-year term). If you are currently serving on a committee and would like to volunteer again for the same committee, please let us know by completing the committee volunteer application form in the link below. If you have questions about our committees, please contact one of the members of the Leadership Development Committee listed above.

 Please Note:
  • Some Committees are limited in the number of appointments available. The Professional Standards Committee & Grievance Committee requires specific experience.  Business Partner Members may serve on Community Involvement, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Professional Development, and Young Professionals Network.
  • Members are eligible to serve no more than two consecutive terms.  If you have served two consecutive terms, please consider being a part of another committee and then reapply for the committee you have termed out next year.
