Bring your investigative skills and join us in the classroom at RSCK for our new Code of Ethics class. This class will teach everything you need to keep you away from the crime scene and on the straight and narrow. Watch the “Not Yet Ready for Prime Time” players as they explore scenarios and help you determine the best outcome for all. Don & Carl interview agent Laidback Lisa to find out why she didn’t get her buyers the home of their dreams. Frank Underwood, listing agent, gets a call from homeowner Walter White about the earthquake that damaged his property while under contract. Mr. & Mrs. Snootypants wants to buy a home, but go behind their agent’s back to get a better deal. All of this plus an overview of all 17 articles, an introduction to NAR’s new Commitment to Excellence, and the due process and enforcement for those who are outside of the law. You won’t want to miss this fun and interactive class that counts as 3 hours CE as well as completion of NAR’s Ethics requirement.

As a REALTORS® member, you are required to complete a minimum of 2.5 hours of approved Code of Ethics training per two year cycle.

The SRES® Council was created to help ensure that maturing baby boomers are protected and represented fairly throughout all real estate transactions.  The Senior Real Estate Specialist Designation (SRES®) gives REALTORS® the specialized knowledge that focuses on the needs of baby boomers over 50.

This designation can be uses as an elective course for earning the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation and counts as 16 Elective credits towards the Counsel of Residential Specialists (CRS) designation. 

Here is some of what you will learn: 

  • Learn distinguishing characteristics and trends of the 50+ market so that you can discern them in your own market area.
  • Master the vocabulary of the range of housing options for the 50+ market.
  • Learn the application of federal laws for Housing for Older Persons Act (HOPA).
  • Develop business building outreach methods for communicating and gaining 50+ market share.
  • Adapt methods for counseling the 50+ buyer and sellers.
  • Develop services that win and sustain client and customer relationships and position you as a trusted real estate advisor.
  • Assemble a team of experts to help you serve 50+ clients and customers.
  • Learn about the uses, benefits, procedures, and issues involved in reverse mortgages.
  • Learn about uses of pensions, 401k accounts, and IRAs in real estate transactions.

Gain an understanding of how Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security impact 50+ real estate decisions.
