How can I apply for the REALTORS of South Central Kansas Board of Directors?
The RSCK Board of Directors is the governing body for our trade association (RSCK). The Board is responsible for overseeing our strategic direction and making important decisions related to governance, finance, approval of committee efforts, and management. Overall, the Board plays a crucial role in the success and sustainability of RSCK. The Board consists of REALTOR volunteers elected by the membership, along with Council Directors who have been appointed.
To apply for the RSCK Board of Directors, Nominees must be REALTOR® members in good standing and meet the following qualifications:
- At least two years of REALTOR® membership
- At least two years of active REALTOR® Association Committee experience, or equivalent leadership experience, in the past three years.
- No violations with the Kansas Real Estate Commission or REALTOR® Code of Ethics within the past three years.
- Broker acknowledgment of application. Requires Broker signature on the application.
- Because of the company limitation in the Bylaws (Article XI, Section 5) of “No more than two members of a firm may serve as an elected director,” the following companies will not be eligible for an RSCK director seat:
- Berkshire Hathaway PenFed Realty
- Coldwell Banker Plaza Real Estate
- Keller Williams Hometown Partners
- J.P. Weigand & Sons

What can I expect after I submit my application?
3. The RSCK Leadership Development Committee and the SCK MLS Nominating Committee will convene to review the submitted applications, verify candidate qualifications, and inform applicants of their eligibility.
4. On August 13th, the RSCK Leadership Development Committee will host a Board Candidate Forum featuring eligible RSCK candidates.
5. Voting polls for RSCK Members will open on August 25th at 9:00 a.m. and will close on September 10th at 9:00 a.m.
6. The results for the 2026 Board of Directors will be announced during the RSCK Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 11th.
