2019-2021 RSCK Board of Directors Candidates
RSCK presents the 2019-2021 Board of Director Candidates. There are four candidates for four openings this election cycle, and those candidates are listed below. After candidates completed the required application, the Leadership Development Committee verified their qualifications as established by the Board. A Candidate Forum will be open to the general membership on August 16, 2018, at 9:00 am in the RSCK Conference Center. This forum will give everyone the opportunity to meet the candidates. There will also be a brief question and answer session during the forum. This is not an interview process, but an informal opportunity for the members to get to know the candidates.
Polls will open on August 27, 2018 at 8:00 am and will close on September 11, 2018 at 9:00 am. Results will be announced at the RSCK Annual Meeting on September 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
Barb’s real estate career with J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc. began as a Sales Associate in the West Residential office in July of 1991. She transferred to the Relocation and Business Development Department in 1994 to assist in the Pizza Hut Corporate move.
Barb was quickly promoted to Corporate Inventory Specialist for that department as her experience with pricing, reporting and property evaluations was and is still today a vital resource for many within the company.
Barb accepted the position as Branch Manager of the Andover office in July of 2008, and shortly after was named Branch Manager of the East Harry office when the Andover office merged with the East Harry office.
In 2011, the East Harry office combined with the East Office and Barb was named Branch Manager of that location.
Barb enjoys working with, mentoring and training Sales Associates and loves to see agents succeed in their sales goals and grow professionally in their careers. Barb is active in both, local and state REALTOR® Associations.
Barb is married with four children and is the proud grandmother of three granddaughters. She stays active with volunteer work and is dedicated to supporting her community, schools, and has devoted many years to the local Boy Scouts of America organization as a leader and counselor.
Kate was submersed in the industry from an early age, with 8 years of experience and 3 years as a licensed agent. Kate is the Team Leader (CEO) of Armstrong & Co. of KW Signature Partners, LLC. She is most widely known for her positive personality and willingness to grow others.
Kate has a lab named Ranger and a fat cat named Cedo. Her favorite things are lattes, Audible, and yoga. Her most recent read is Simon Sinek's 'Leaders Eat Last'. She is a volunteer instructor with Keller Williams Quantum Leap, a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, catered to young adults ages 18-24. Fun fact about Kate: She held the title of Miss Heartland 2016 with the Miss America Program and competed for Miss Kansas 2017. During that time, she had the opportunity to lecture in high schools about her passion, 'Own It: Become an Entrepreneur'.
Kate has a passion for both personal and professional development and takes any training she can get her hands on. She has served on the RSCK Education Committee, Keller Williams Education Committee, Chaired the Keller Williams Culture Committee and launched the mentoring program for BNI (Business Networking International) for the midwest region. Kate's favorite podcast is, 'The 1 Thing Powered by Producktive'. Her number one role model is Mother Teresa because of her kindness and willingness to give. Kate's mission: Plant smiles; Grow Laughter, Harvest Love.
Tim is an associate broker with RE/MAX Realty Centre, and is a Certified Residential Appraiser. In addition, he is a proud father of 3 beautiful daughters, and, enjoys his seven grandkids (ages 4-19). He is a Wichita native, graduate of Southeast High School, attended Baptist Bible College, and then, Wichita State University. He is an avid Harley rider, loves to golf, and is the Music Director at Summit Church.
He is currently serving on the Board of Directors and says, "I would like to continue to participate in things larger than myself. I wish to be a part of that which helps convey to the public that our goals are to represent them by educating our members to be ethical, professional and promote trustworthiness in our industry. In addition, my experience and acumen are that which, I believe, could be used to further the goals and successful future of RSCK." Tim has served on the Professional Standards Committee and Ethics Committees and, is currently a part of the 2018 L.E.A.D. Academy. He says, "I desire to not only assist leadership, but, be part of the leadership that helps RSCK membership reach and achieve our goals as a collective body."
Lori is a native of the Wichita and Maize communities, where she grew up on a farm. She says she is, "so proud of being from this area!" She graduated from Maize High School. She attended WSU for a short period and diverted from school to begin a family with her high school sweetheart, Robert Touchatt. They now reside on the west side of Wichita in The Moorings. Together they have three amazing boys: Daniel, Joel, and Kyle, and six adorable grandchildren.
Previously, Lori worked as an Assistant Vice President at Bank of America Call Center; and held roles in the construction and retail industries before beginning her real estate career over sixteen (16) years ago. Lori eventually became a real estate broker. Additionally, she was a supervising Broker for three years and worked as a REALTOR/Broker Associate at several real estate companies. In 2016, she formed her own real estate company Touche’ Real Estate Group, LLC.
Lori served and continues to support numerous community, non-profit and charitable organizations in various capacities which include: Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross Blood Drive, River Festival River Run, Wichita State Athletics, Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA), United Way, Children’s Miracle Network, and Toys For Tot’s.
Lori holds the following certifications and licenses: Broker, ePro, CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert). She has received numerous sales awards; Master's Circle, Presidential Club, Rookie of the Year & Executive Club. She currently serves on the RSCK Professionals Standard Committee and the Standard Forms Committee. She previously served on the Governmental Affairs Committee and Grievance Committee.
